Greenville, NC – Coastal AgroBusiness, Inc. is pleased to announce that Charles Burnett has joined its executive management team as General Counsel. Charles will work closely with the leadership team which manages day-to-day operations, sets and implements strategies for growth, and upholds company values. Charles brings many excellent business management skills to the company, particularly in the areas of human resources, finance, insurance and legal guidance.
For the past nine years, Charles has served as General Counsel and CFO for The P & A Group, LLC, a Greenville-based holding company with a number of diversified operating businesses in North and South Carolina. Charles held many leadership roles there in nearly all facets of the business, including legal, financial, human resources, business management and strategic direction. Charles oversaw the company’s diversification and growth initiatives, including business acquisitions and subsequent integration of the acquisitions into The P & A Group. He has led the implementation of multiple systems, including accounting, inventory management, customer relationship management, payroll and strategic project management.
Prior to joining The P & A Group, Charles worked for five years at Troutman Sanders (now Troutman Pepper) in Atlanta, GA as a complex litigation associate on their securities litigation team.
A native of Greenville, Charles graduated from NC State University in 2003 with a BS in Business Management, and earned a JD with High Honors from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law in 2006.

Charles resides in Greenville with his wife, Tori, and their four children, Charlie, Lucy, Meg, and Hope.
