Ten Tac

A carefully balanced tobacco sucker control with a single source alcohol active ingredient that is more active on suckers

Features and Benefits

  • The active ingredient is a C10 fatty alcohol which is more active on suckers but also has a higher potential of bronzing young tobacco. Therefore, the use rate is lower than that of blended contact sucker control materials.
  • Carefully balanced combination of active ingredients, emulsifiers and wetting agents formulated for the control of sucker growth
  • Effective when it comes in direct contact with suckers

Application

  • The concentrated product is diluted with water to form a creamy emulsion which is then applied as a course spray.
  • The emulsion should be applied so that maximum contact is made with the suckers.
  • Start at 30%-40% button stage. Apply Ten Tac at a 3% concentration.
    (3% concentration = 1 ½ gallons Ten Tac in 48 ½ gallons of water).
  • Apply Ten Tac every 3-5 days at a 3% concentration until tip leaves reach adequate size for a systemic application (Tip leaves 16-18 inches).
