The Rising Star Award recognizes young and emerging leaders who are positively influencing southern agriculture.  The recipient of the award has demonstrated ongoing and growing contributions to their member company’s objectives and to the industry.

Taylor joined Coastal AgroBusiness five years ago as a crop protection program analyst.  New to the crop protection business, he learned quickly and was given increasing levels of responsibility along the way.  Two years ago, he was promoted to Assistant Director of Sales for Crop Protections.  In this role, Taylor utilizes analytical processes to determine the purchase, allocation and pricing of products; and works closely with his supervisor and mentor, John Whitehead, Director of Sales for Crop Protection, in the decision-making process.  An excellent communicator and genuine leader, Taylor has earned the trust of Coastal’s seasoned sales force as well as industry suppliers.

Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in applied economics from East Carolina University in 2014.  He is married to his wife, Rainey, and they have an 18-month-old son, Wyatt.
