In a recent NCSU CALS Student Spotlight, Hunter Williams shares his experience as a summer intern at Coastal.  Williams, who is pursuing an associate degree in agribusiness management through the CALS Agricultural Institute (AGI), gives insight to the technical and customer services skills he gained over the summer. Williams describes the hands-on precision agriculture training he received while working alongside precision technology specialist Dustin Boykin.  Boykin himself is a 2015 NCSU CALS graduate and interned for two summers at Coastal before joining Coastal full-time.  Josh Allen, now Director of Operations at Coastal, is also mentioned in the article as he too interned at Coastal in 1995 and is a 1996 CALS AGI graduate.

About Coastal’s Intern Program

Coastal’s intern program was started over 30 years ago to offer opportunities to students wanting to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application.  Each year, interns are recruited from several universities, including NC State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS).  Oftentimes, internships can lead to full-time career opportunities at Coastal after graduation.
