Governor Cooper has declared a state of emergency for all of North Carolina in preparation for potential impacts of Hurricane Dorian.  The Governor’s Executive Order suspends motor vehicle regulations including the temporary suspension of weighing vehicles used to transport livestock, poultry or crops ready to be harvested and feed to livestock and poultry in the emergency area.  The Order also waives the maximum number of hours of service for drivers.

The waivers are in effect for (30) days or the duration of the emergency, whichever is less.
